A Mischief Of Magpies

If the Sun were the size of a beach ball then Jupiter would be the size of a golf ball and a Mischief of Magpies would be as small as a pea.

It's not your body

It seems to me that America is going backwards these days. The state of South Dakota has passed a law banning abortion in virtually all cases. The only exception to this would be when the foetus dies "during a doctor's attempt to save the mother's life". The part that I find most interesting is where it says that there are no exceptions made for cases of rape or incest. In fact, this was tabled and voted down. If a woman is raped and becomes pregnant, she not only has to deal with being sexually violated, she now has to have the child whether she wants it or not. I can't believe that people think this is acceptable. Can't they see how traumatic it would be ? Perhaps these are the same people who think women are to blame for rape by "dressing provacatively" or daring to drink alcohol.

It amazes me that they think that passing this law will achieve anything. It will force people to go abroad for the procedure or, worse, to try and do it themselves. It doesn't seem to matter if they die because they are evil anyway. I thought it was God's job to decide who lives or dies and to judge people on their actions.

As a result of this law being passed, the Supreme Court may have to decide if they will overturn the decision to make abortion legal. Is this really the "land of the free" where women have no rights over their own bodies ? Some anonymous person cares so much about other people's lives that they have donated $1 million to back the legislation. Why can't they just mind their own business ? That money could do a lot of good but it's being wasted because seomebody is so unhappy in their own life that they have to interfere with others. That is the true evil.

I'm thinking of starting the 'Just minding our own business party' it will aim to keep the states beak out of peoples private affairs. Anyone want to join?

I'm working on one right now. You may need twelve fingers and a degree in advanced mathematics to perform it though.....

I also think a salute may be in order. Something along the lines of the one in your avatar.......
